  1. A small plate. Even small portions are enough to fill it with food. It is said that we also eat food with our eyes. A small plate is so helpful to us that you don’t need much to make the portions seem large enough, as if they were about to spill out of the plate at any moment.
  2. Dark tableware. In contrast to the pastel patterns on white porcelain, the black plate does not encourage you to eat a meal so much. Eating from a plate in black, ink blue or dark green will not stimulate the appetite as much as if we were to reach for classic white.
  3. Divide into smaller portions. Then they were led to the buffet table. It turned out that participants who ate only a quarter did not want to eat more than those who ate a whole croissant. Although we still have to wait for the final results of the experiment, it is worth checking this theory independently in your own kitchen.
  4. Thicker, i.e. more filling. Food with a dense consistency is identified with greater satiating properties. Interestingly, it is not enough to choose cream soup instead of watery soup, because what we choose is not without significance. We will eat rice cakes more in terms of calories than yogurt, because the former seem to be lighter than it.
  5. Season the dishes. The fact is that aromatic dishes encourage us to eat. However, the richer the flavor of the dish, the less we are exposed to consuming too much of the dish. Tests to prove this were initially carried out on rodents, later confirmed by studies involving humans. Under the supervision of scientists, daredevils ate cream through a tube. When the smell was cut off, they ate more, while when one more tube brought in the aroma, they were able to consume less.
