Being on a reducing diet, we often dream of putting a larger portion on the plate or eating something delicious without remorse and without questioning our motivation. In fact, there are products that meet these requirements. It is enough to compose your menu with your head.

Negative calories – because we are talking about them – or rather food, the consumption of which contributes to the creation of a negative calorie balance in the body, are often products that we find in our own apartment. When composing a negative calorie diet, we must include the right amount of fiber in our eating plan every day, thanks to which the body will use more energy for metabolic processes.

This wonderful fiber!

Fiber is not absorbed by the body. Once it has played its role, it is expelled from the body. It improves digestion and metabolism, increases intestinal peristalsis, perfectly cleanses food residues. In the digestive tract, it swells, which is why we achieve the feeling of satiety faster.

The functioning of the negative calorie diet can be illustrated by the example of a piece of cake with a value of 500 kcal, for which our body will use only 300 kcal to digest, while 200 kcal will be stored in the form of subcutaneous fat. For comparison, a fruit whose energy value is 50 kcal, containing a lot of fiber will create a negative balance of 50 kcal, which will consequently be covered with adipose tissue.

Recommended slimming food

Among the recommended fruits with a large amount of fiber, we find: blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, strawberries, apples, plums, citrus, peaches, mangoes. We encourage you to eat vegetables, especially: carrots, celery, kale, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, zucchini, lettuce, leek and spinach.

Exogenous products, i.e. mobilizing the production of digestive enzymes and metabolism, will also bring us closer to a slim figure. These include chili, papaya, kiwi, pineapple, melon and watermelon. Chili, rich in capsaicin, stimulates thermogenesis and metabolism, accelerates the burning of subcutaneous fat, while bromelain present in pineapple stimulates protein digestion and cleanses our body of toxins.

Negative calorie diet for short term only

Long-term use of a negative calorie diet is not advisable, because it would be based mainly on fruits and vegetables, and therefore we would lack important amino acids, as well as fats that are necessary for the absorption of some vitamins. An alternative is to include foods with “negative” calories in your daily diet. Therefore, it is worth combining fiber-rich fruits and vegetables with products such as legumes, lean and fatty fish, or lean meat.
