Sphagnum galerina (Galerina sphagnorum) – a hat of small sizes from 0,6 to 3,5 cm in diameter. While the mushroom is young, the shape of the cap is in the form of a cone, subsequently it opens to a hemispherical shape and is convex. The surface of the cap is smooth, sometimes fibrous in young fungus. It is hygrophobic, which means it absorbs moisture. The surface of the cap is colored ocher or brown, when it dries it becomes lighter close to yellowish. The tubercle on the cap has a rich color. The cap margins are fibrous when the mushroom is young.

The plates adhering to the stem of the mushroom are often or rarely located, have an ocher color, while the mushroom is young – a lighter color, and eventually darkens to brown.

Hollow, longitudinally fibrous in structure. The color of the stem is usually the same as the hat, but in places covered with moss it is lighter. The ring quickly disappears. But the remains of a rudimentary veil can be seen.
