Black soap, made in a traditional way, mainly from black olives (but not only!), has been a real “must have” in many women’s bathrooms for several years. We can come across many varieties of Savon Noir, but most often they are used to soften and smooth the skin of the body. Of course, not everyone will have the same effect, so it’s best to test it for yourself. For some it will certainly stay for longer, for others it may not impress, but it is certainly worth trying!

It is worth starting with a warning that everyone has a different type of skin, the skin may react differently, which is why the effect depends on its individual characteristics. Some people will be delighted with the action of the soap due to:

  • Thorough cleansing of the skin and alleviation of irritations and imperfections,
  • Cleansing the skin of blackheads and blackheads,
  • Smoothing the skin and restoring its balance.

Unfortunately, for others, it can cause dry skin (resulting in dry skin or excessive sebum production) or clog pores if not rinsed properly. That is why black soap can have different effects, depending on the individual skin type.

Properties and use of black soap

In order to obtain satisfactory results and not to deprive the skin of its lipid coat, after washing the face with soap, use a tonic, then cream or olive. This also applies to people with oily, acne-prone skin, because black soap can work perfectly for them, but at the same time it must not cause the skin to dry out. For people with less problematic skin, it is recommended to use it as a means of smoothing the whole body – it will perfectly replace traditional or enzymatic peeling and will give the skin silky softness.

This cosmetic comes from Morocco and is simply a saponified paste of crushed olives, which became famous for its extraordinary cleansing properties. The most important properties of black soap are:

  • Removal and dissolution of dead skin,
  • smoothing the skin,
  • hydration,
  • Preparing the body and face for better absorption of creams, lotions, oils, masks and serums,
  • Deep cleansing of the skin,
  • Eliminating blemishes and discolorations,
  • Improvement of hydration, smoothness, firmness and elasticity of the skin,
  • Cleansing the skin of toxins,
  • Anti-wrinkle effect due to the content of natural vitamin E,
  • Facial softener (may replace shaving foam for men).

It is dedicated to all skin types, including sensitive skin. It will also be good for allergy sufferers, provided that they are not allergic to olive oil (which happens very rarely). They can be used as a detoxifying face mask, washing soap, etc. Avoid contact with the eyes, because, like any soap, they can irritate them.
