Ganoderma resinaceum (Ganoderma resinaceum) sary sy famaritana

Ganoderma resinaceum belongs to the tinder fungus. It grows everywhere, but is rare in our country. Regions: mountain forests of Altai, Far East, Caucasus, Carpathians.

It prefers conifers (especially sequoia, larch), and can also often be seen on deciduous trees (oak, willow, alder, beech). Mushrooms usually grow on deadwood, dead wood, as well as on stumps and trunks of living wood. Settlements of resinous Ganoderma often contribute to the appearance of white rot on the tree.

Resinous Ganoderma is an annual mushroom, fruiting bodies are represented by caps, less often by caps and rudimentary legs.

The caps are flat, cork or woody in structure, reaching a diameter of 40-45 cm. The color of young mushrooms is reddish, shiny, in adulthood the color of the cap changes, it becomes brick, brown, and then almost black and matte.

The edges are grayish, with an ocher tint.

The pores of the hymenophore are rounded, cream or grayish in color.

The tubules most often have one layer, elongated, reaching three centimeters in length. The pulp is soft, very reminiscent of a cork in structure, in young mushrooms it is grayish, and then changes color to red and brown.

The spores are slightly truncated at the apex, have a brown color, as well as a two-layered shell.

The chemical composition of resinous Ganoderma is interesting: the presence of a large amount of vitamins C and D, as well as minerals such as iron, calcium, phosphorus.

A similar view is shiny ganoderma (varnished tinder fungus) (Ganoderma lucidum). Differences from shiny Ganoderma: Resinous Ganoderma has a hat, large in size and a short leg. In addition, shiny Ganoderma most often grows on dead wood.
