We all know that tanning can be harmful. Amazingly, only about half of us use sunscreen on a regular basis. Much worse is the awareness that it is not enough to use such preparations only in the summer season, only when sunbathing.

Our skin is exposed to the sun’s rays all year round. Also when we stay in the shade or leave the house on cloudy days. Some surfaces tend to reflect the sun’s rays, thereby enhancing their effect. Snow is a perfect example. However, even those of us who take care to apply sunscreen to our skin often make the mistake of forgetting to apply some body parts.

Below is a list of the most overlooked ones. Check if you remember about all of them, and if not – be sure to start protecting them from today!

  1. top of feet

In the summer, feet are very exposed to sunburn, because we wear shoes that expose them: flip-flops or sandals. Feet tan quickly and it may happen that they tan too much if we forget to protect them. And often we grease our legs only to the ankles, omitting what is below.

  2. vozony

Sometimes it is covered with hair, sometimes we use the help of a third person who lubricates our backs and we are so focused on pleasant sensations that we simply miss it. The effect is that in this place we get a burn, and then there is a not very aesthetic, too dark in relation to the rest of the body, dirty tan.

  3. The eyelids

Unless there’s something wrong with them, we’re not in the habit of lubricating them. In the case of sunscreen cosmetics, this is a mistake. The skin around the eyes and on the eyelids is delicate. This makes it easy to get sunburn in this place. So when we don’t wear sunglasses, we must remember to use a preparation with a factor on the eyelids.

  4. Manan-tsofina

The skin of the ears is also very sensitive. In addition, it has a small amount of natural pigment, which makes it more exposed to sunburn than other parts of the body. If we don’t wear a head covering or we don’t have long hair that covers our ears, they are constantly exposed to the sun and can easily turn red.

  5. Master

Preparations with an SPF filter for the body are rather not suitable for applying to the lips. Nevertheless, it is worth looking for a lipstick or lip balm with sunscreen on the market. This will protect us from burning lips that do not have a natural tendency to tan.

  6. The skin covered by the wardrobe

There is a misconception in our minds that sunscreens only protect the exposed parts of the body. It seems to us that what is under the clothes is already covered. Unfortunately, our clothes are not a barrier to solar radiation. It can easily penetrate through all fabrics. Therefore, the whole body should be lubricated, including where we will be dressed.
