The whole question is that CT scan should be done for people who are sick, with symptoms. I am sure that other colds also lead to a change in the morphological picture on CT, ”said the head physician Protsenko.
Protsenko explained that before, during the flu, it had never even occurred to us to do a computed tomography, which, he is sure, could show the percentage of lung damage much higher than 15%.
“It’s just that we didn’t do it before during the flu,” says Protsenko. “We drank tea with lemon, some antipyretic, and sat at home, and then went to work. I suppose that if we had done such massive CT scans a year, two years ago, we would have seen the same 5, 7, 15% of lung damage as we see now. “
