After last Valentine’s Day, life in the Scottish city of Glasgow will never be the same. In honor of the holiday, ice cream appeared in the Aldwych cafe, which amazed the residents.
Firstly, the very name of the dessert is impressive – Respiro Del Diavolo (“Breath of the Devil”). Secondly, the delicacy is ice cream with the addition of Carolina Reaper hot pepper and it is bright red.
And it is worth noting that the Guinness Book of Records named Carolina Reaper the hottest pepper in the world in 2013!
Thirdly, since Respiro Del Diavolo is so hot that in order to taste it, customers must be at least 18 years old, and also sign a document according to which they acknowledge that eating pepper ice cream can lead to serious problems with health and even death.
The handcrafted ice cream has a whopping 1569300 Scoville pungency points – meaning the dessert is 500 times hotter than Tabasco sauce.
The cost of Respiro Del Diavolo ice cream is the same as for other cold desserts in the cafe – almost $ 3.
